The 4th edition of the festival will be held in Matera from 3 to 5 october 2014.

The event aims at promoting sports culture throuhg images. Movies, documentaries, cartoons, advertising, tv shows and new media regarding sports. Matera International FICTS Festival is included in the World FICTS Challenge promoted by Federation Internationale Cinema Television Sportifs 

Matera is candidate city as European Capital of Culture 2019.
